Both Ends of the Spectrum

From today's BaseballLibrary.com newsletter, we get this little nugget of information;

The Cards are the best team in the majors with a record of 95-56 (.629). They are 15 games behind the 1954 Indians, who went 110-41 (.728) through 151 games.

The Royals are the worst team in the majors with a record of 48-99 (.327). They are 15 games better than the 1916 Athletics, who went 33-114 (.224) through 147 games.So, what this essentially means, is that the State of Missouri has the best and the worst teams in MLB.  Dubious distinction, that.
